Upon completion of the 80th Anniversary of the proclamation of the Second Republic on April 14, 1931, and as in previous years, from 1936 to 1977 Ahaztuak (Victims of the coup and the repression of the Franco regime) we commemorate this date as what it was: a day in which the will of the people began to take power and see themselves as such, a journey from which neatly glimpsed the future desirable and possible, the beginning of a new historical era in which democracy political, social and economic dreamed up by the popular classes against the monarchy, against the Church, against the colonial army and the people, against the Civil Guard in the service of gentlemen, from landowners and patrons ... beginning to be a more feasible option.
One year we remember that fact and the people who made this possible, all of them. At that reflected and demanded their vote by voting in the polls these hopes, the heart and conscience that fueled what became in that vote, which raised people's committees and support groups in each village, which ignoring the call of the servile were possible their equality and their rights and that day decided to resolutely move towards them. That is what will once again be in each of the activities that develop Ahaztuak 1936-1977 on this April 14, this new anniversary of the proclamation of the Second Republic.
